Brock Philp, Chief Executive Officer of Newforma – ex-officio

Brock is a transformational CEO with over 20 years of experience leading software services companies that specialize in vertical markets, such as accounting and tax, construction, Federal, State and local governments, private clubs, and the golf industry. 

He is known for his unwavering belief in defining a clear vision and having the confidence to deliver on it. Brock is the kind of leader who is not afraid to take risks and embraces challenges head-on. Those who are familiar with Brock describe him as a passionate and motivated leader who genuinely cares about the well-being of his team. He understands that by nurturing the right individuals and empowering them to succeed, he fosters an environment where everyone can thrive.

Erik Brooks, Co-CEO, Ethos Capital

Erik has spent his entire career in the investment industry and prior to founding Ethos was a Managing Partner leading ABRY Partners. During his 20-year tenure at ABRY he originated, supervised, and sold companies in information services, digital infrastructure, enterprise systems, healthcare IT, financial services and media, representing an aggregate enterprise value of approximately $11 billion. Additionally he served on investment committees, and oversaw recruiting of all investment professionals, research, and information technology. He also managed relationships with limited partners, headed its Heritage Fund and was a key partner in raising $17 billion across 15 funds. Prior to joining ABRY Partners, Erik was an investment professional at New Century Holdings, the Baupost Group, and Apax Partners.

In addition to Erik’s professional activities he serves on the Board of Advisors of the International Council of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, and the Advisory Board of Think:Kids at Massachusetts General Hospital. As an active alumni advisor for Harvard Business School and Brown University, he spends time with students helping them think about life after academia and how their contributions can make a difference in the world. Previously he served on the boards of the Citi Performing Arts Center in Boston and the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University, and the President’s Advisory Council on Internships at Brown University.

Gregg Monastiero, Executive Partner

Gregg works with investment team members and other Executive Partners to identify, analyze, and assess potential investment opportunities.

Over the past three decades Gregg has built an international career within the Application Software SaaS industry across the Americas, Europe, and APAC. Gregg’s focus is with technology companies and investment communities.

Prior to Ethos, Gregg has served as President, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for various technology companies including Baan, SSA Global, Infor, JDA, TATA Digital, SumTotal, Symphony EYC, and Mi9 Retail resulting in exponential revenue generation in excess of two billion dollars. Gregg has worked as a software provider for leading private equity firms such as: General Atlantic, HGGC, Cerberus Capital and Vista Equity.

Scott Stevens, Principal

Scott is a member of the investment team at Ethos. In his role, he works with other investment team members to evaluate and analyze investment opportunities.

Scott most recently was an investment professional at Pamlico Capital where he focused on the information services, software, and education technology sectors. While at Pamlico, Scott served on the board of directors of several companies including Aite-Novarica Group, CEATI International, and Profisee.

Prior to joining Pamlico, Scott was an investment professional at ABRY Partners where he reviewed and executed investment opportunities across the IT services, software, and financial services sectors. Before ABRY Partners, Scott worked as an investment banker at McColl Partners where he advised companies on sell-side mergers and acquisitions and capital makets transactions.
